Alexis IT Privacy Policy — interim notice
The Alexis IT Privacy Policy referred to at clause 48 of our Terms of Trade is being rewritten and is not currently published on this website.
In the interim, any information you supply under clause 48 is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand) and the confidentiality obligations set out at clauses 27–30 of our Terms of Trade.

Alexis IT (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

- Email address: when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. Providing this is voluntary.
- Other details: when you complete an enquiry or contact form, only the fields you choose to fill in.
Information collected automatically:
- Page views and navigation: which pages you visit, in aggregate.
- Referrer: the website or search engine that linked you here, if any.
- Country, browser, and device type: recorded at the country/device-class level only, used to ensure the site works well across visitors.
- Anonymous visitor identifier: a randomly generated code stored in a cookie called
site_vid. This is not linked to any personal identity and is used solely to distinguish return visits from new ones in aggregate statistics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries.
- To send you updates if you have subscribed.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve content and performance.
- We do not use your information for advertising profiling, automated decision-making, or tracking beyond this website.
3. Email Communications
If you subscribe, we will send periodic updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe option. You can also unsubscribe at any time by contacting us directly.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties.
4. Cookies
We use one first-party cookie:
- site_vid: a randomly generated anonymous identifier, valid for one year, used only for visitor counting. It contains no personal information and cannot identify you.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services.
5. Third-Party Services
Our website may contain links to external services and social media profiles. Once you leave our site, this privacy policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those services.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Subscriber email addresses and site analytics are stored on our hosting infrastructure. We retain subscriber data for as long as the subscription is active. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
7. Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Request access to any personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of any inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to any legal obligations to retain it).
